The Southern Miss quarterback situation seems under control before going into fall camp on August 2nd. After Keon Howard announced his departure from the team, the depth charted seemed to slim down. Returning senior Kwadra Griggs seems to be the front runner for the starting job, but the others won’t shy away from some friendly competition. Griggs will be joined by redshirt sophomore transfer Jack Abraham, redshirt freshman Marcelo Rodriguez, and freshman Tate Whatley.
