New Pediatrician Addition To Tot Doc Team In The Woodlands, Texas

(August 05, 2011)

The Woodlands, TX (PRWEB) August 05, 2011

An overwhelmingly positive community response to the practice and philosophy of The Woodlands Pediatrician, Dr. Laurie McKillip, the Tot Doc, has led to this practice to bring a new member of staff on board. Shelly Nalbone brings over 17 years of working with children and their families to the practice.

After graduating from Houston Baptist University in 1993 with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing, and received a Masters from Texas Womans University 6 years later, Ms. Nalbone has spoken nationally on topics including pediatrics and adolescent health care, and is a contributing author for pediatric nursing textbook, Wong and Hockenberry's Clinical Manual of Pediatric Nursing. She served as the Associate Clinical Faculty for The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and Lone Star College Nursing programs, and is now raising 2 children with her husband in the Champions area.

Thanks to Ms. Nalbones arrival, Dr. McKillips trademark quality will extend even further toward patients.

Already, the practice guarantees that its existing patients can receive same-day appointments if they call the office before 11a.m. They also track medical records and pharmacy communications electronically; in The Woodlands, patients and community members have responded well to these and other perks of personalized pediatric care.

Finally, Dr. McKillip uses her website, http://www.totdoc.com, to make information available to parents during off-hours. The sites interactive blog covers pediatric health topics, while other online resources provide info on topics from breast feeding to teenagers mood swings! Pediatricians are much more than doctors, Dr. McKillip says. They are partners in your child's health. When you develop a relationship with your pediatrician, you can expect individualized care and the personal attention that your family deserves, but most importantly, you develop trust.

What do her patients think? Says one mother: When we found out that we would be welcoming triplets into our family, we were especially glad that we had already found a doctor that we love and trust.
