WHAG >> reporter: welcome back kim has under gone clinical trials at the university of maryland for parkinson's. and so you mentioned that the process what about the follow ups. what did the doctors say when you went back? >> i was doing great. >> were not sure how it would work out. everybody was pleased thought i was doing better than participated >> what is the outlook for the future? >> they don't know. >> wait and see? >> when i got it done could be a day, two or a week. could be six months. hopefully the longer the better it is. >> absolutely. now since you had the procedure, obviously and had good results you have been speak out and the welling others know about that. talk about that out reach. where you have gone. who you talked to. the things you have done. >> okay. i did a talk about the procedure. i have spoke in front of congressful getting formulas for parkinsony. i have done interviews. >> here you are. gi want to thank whag for getting the word out. means a lot >> how was the trip to congress. do yyou feel you had a listenin ear? did they pay attention. >> they did they had a lot of questions. most interesting things when i walked down beautiful marble floors i thought, last yearil thinked not have walked i would have been in a wheel chair and i walked the whole way with no issues. it was amazing. >> that's telling in and of itself. had your talk and also you spoke you happened take the stage with john grishham as well. how was ha? >> incredible. he is so nice and has a good sense of humor. he was telling jokes trying to get me to calm down. he said if you mess up, tell a joke issue everybody will laugh. >> there you go. that's when we should have said to you today. >> what about locally. local support groups you work with. >> i teach powers for parkinson's. after each session, we go out to lunch and hang out, i feel like it is a support group and exercise. with fitness, which is very important for people with parkinson's. you need to stay strong and keep the muscles strong to do everything you can. i have done that and i talked with a couple of the other actual groups. >> interesting. now, is there any opportunity for follow up treatments or is this like a once and done thing? >> as of now t can be done on and done. it has not been approved by the fda. they want to get approval so it can be done again on that side and the other side. that's what they will try for. >> very good. >> we'll continue
