NEW YORK, April 17, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Dr. Pankaj Naram is a master healer who has toured the world with his messages of healthy living and healing, is very interested in environmental, lifestyle and dietary impacts on health and wellbeing. Because he recognizes how important these are, Dr. Naram is always eager to share what knowledge and wisdom of ancient healing secrets he learned from his master and lineage. He shares these in the hopes that individuals can benefit from these discoveries in their own lives. Dr. Naram is also pleased when, today, studies begin to prove what his masters knew for the last 2,500 years.
The recent study called B Vitamins Attenuate the Epigenetic Effects of Ambient Fine Particles in a Pilot Human Intervention Trial, addressed the widespread concerns of pollution's effect on the health of the world's populace, and sought to find out how increased vitamin B consumption may help reverse these effects. The study specifically focused on the impact of the PM2.5 pollutant, which is found in excess in over 90% of the world, and which has been known to cause harm to the respiratory system by infiltrating the lungs. To discover how vitamin B may be able to help reverse the negative effects of PM2.5, this study used a test group of 10 individuals. To determine the impact of vitamin B, the study participants were first given placebo pills while being exposed to clean air, then given the same placebo pills while being exposed to heavily polluted air for 4 weeks through face masks, and then finally another 4 weeks of bad air exposure was run, this time with the participants taking daily vitamin supplements consisting of folic acid, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12.
At the end of the study, what the researchers found was evidence that the vitamin B supplements were helping to significantly reduce the impacts of the PM2.5. After the 4 weeks of pollution exposure with the vitamin B supplements, the research team observed that when compared to the pollution exposure without the vitamin B, there was between a 28% and 76% reduction of damage to the participant's health. While the size of the study group was small, this was considered to show promising results and has inspired the team to continue to study the idea that vitamin B can help reduce and prevent the negative effects of air pollution.
If individuals want to experience the benefits of vitamin B first hand, Dr. Naram believes that they can do this by incorporating healthy and vitamin b rich foods into their everyday diets. Diet is one of the best ways to take in such important nutrients, and there are many foods that are going to offer individuals those essential vitamins. Leafy veggies like turnip greens and spinach are great sources of vitamin B6, as are nuts, and bananas. Soy products can be great sources of the essential B12, just make sure it is safe organic soy. These foods are all great choices for those who want to get more vitamin b in their diet, especially now that research is showing new benefits of this vitamin.
