Mamava Stands Up for the Rights of Mothers (and Babies)

(May 09, 2017)

BURLINGTON, Vt., May 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- This Mother's Day, Mamava, maker of the world's first free standing lactation suite, is standing in solidarity with breastfeeding mothers and their babes with the release of a video announcing their new mobile locator app. The Mamava app provides a digital solution for the struggle endured by every breastfeeding mom: the lack of dignified space to express breastmilk. The new Mamava app supports moms on the go by locating Mamava lactation suites and over 1200 other Mamava-vetted public lactation rooms.

"We're a company founded by moms for moms. We understand better than anyone the real challenges breastfeeding moms face, and we're changing those realities. This Mother's Day we're celebrating moms and babies with a tool that will enable mom to be supported on this day, and everyday." Sascha Mayer, Mamava CEO and co-founder. "To celebrate our launch, we've created a video that powerfully and emotionally illustrates the story of struggle, solidarity and solution - all from the perspective of those who need it most: the babes."

The app features useful resources including a content feed of tips and information from Mamava's trusted partners, a breastfeeding goal tracker, a personal profile where moms can upload images of their babes for help with milk let-down, and a Mamava guided lactation meditation. For Mamava suites with a keypad lock, the mobile app integrates new proprietary technology to unlock the suites through the Mamava SmartLock an important security feature for moms.

The app is available now for free on iTunes and in the Google Play Store, and will be officially launching at Techcrunch Disrupt in New York City, May 15th.

The free Mamava app for iPhone and Android allows moms to search for pumping and breastfeeding friendly locations.
