Avamere Family of Companies Assume Management of Five Premier Assisted Living Communities in Newly Inked NorthStar Healthcare Income, Inc. Partnership

The Avamere Family of Companies, a leader in senior living and post-acute care services, and Colony NorthStar Healthcare Income, Inc., a global healthcare real estate investment trust, today announced a management partnership of five assisted living communities located in Oregon and Washington. Under the partnership, Avamere assumes management of operations for each property.

“We are very excited to build on the established foundations of these five assisted living communities and work toward financial and operational success," says Matthew Hilty, President of Avamere Living. “We have had many accomplishments with managing assisted living communities and post-acute care facilities that were just maintaining and turning them into market leaders."

One such success is Laurelhurst Village, located in Portland, Ore. Since Avamere took over management of the renowned 100-year-old-plus senior living and skilled nursing property in 2013, the campus has received three perfect state surveys and is continually at or near full census.



Services provided at each location under the partnership include assistance with activities of daily living, medication management, restaurant-style dining, life enrichment programs, private residences, and scheduled transportation. The management partnership will also broaden healthcare choices for seniors in the locations where Avamere currently owns or operates an existing skilled nursing facility or home-based care agency through its ancillary company Signature Hospice, Home Health, Home Care.
