(August 07, 2018)

Practice provides patients with the utmost care in a private and relaxing environment

CHARLESTON, S.C., Aug. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Healing at Sweetgrass, led by medical director Michael Bauerschmidt, MD, is a weight loss and wellness center committed to helping residents of Charleston and nearby areas find balance in their lives. From weight loss strategies to hormone replacement therapy and customized wellness programs, Healing at Sweetgrass offers natural solutions that treat the problem and enhance overall health.

The team at Healing at Sweetgrass provides a range of targeted, highly effective services that work synergistically. Dr. Bauerschmidt’s proprietary DEEPER Healing® Method is the foundation of Healing at Sweetgrass protocols, treating patients with conditions including hormone imbalance, chronic fatigue, depression, Crohn’s Disease, arthritis and more.

“There are typically multiple factors, such as diet, emotions and environmental toxins, that can cause stress on the body, drain energy and set the stage for illness,” said Dr. Bauerschmidt. “The DEEPER Healing® process allows us to assess & treat health challenges in the right priority for patients’ unique needs.”

The process involves cleansing protocols to help the body eliminate accumulated toxins, as well as giving it the nutrients and oxygen it needs to rebuild, restore cellular metabolism and function at its best.

About Michael Bauerschmidt, MD
Dr. Bauerschmidt is a former emergency room physician who found himself immersed in functional medicine following a car accident that left him in debilitating pain. When Western medicine failed to give him relief, he turned to more natural methods of healing, which led to his recovery. Through his practice and his own experience, Dr. Bauerschmidt realized that for a patient to fully heal from a chronic condition or illness, they must first remove the environmental toxicants from their body.

At Healing at Sweetgrass, Dr. Bauerschmidt utilizes his advanced depuration and DEEPER Healing® protocols to treat patients who are suffering from conditions including hormone imbalance, chronic fatigue, depression, Crohn’s Disease and arthritis. Dr. Bauerschmidt’s goal is to uncover the root cause of the symptom and treat it. He does not believe in one-size-fits-all programs. Every patient is biochemically unique and therefore needs to be treated with customized care specifically tailored to the patient and his or her needs.

Dr. Bauerschmidt received his medical degree from the Ohio State University and completed his residency in Family Practice at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. He has advanced training in environmental medicine and is certified in chelation therapy by the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), where he serves as president of the college.
