PITTSBURGH, Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "Nurses are known for finding the best, smartest, quickest ways to get the job done," said an inventor from Midland, Texas. "I dealt with problems of patient identification all of my life from registration to admission as a nurse and believe this will solve the problem permanently."
Clinically, the patent pending BRIGHT ID BAND will reduce overall medical errors by reducing patient misidentification. Financially, the invention will reduce denied claims due to patients' misidentification or inaccurate/incomplete patient information. It also will result in an increase in patient satisfaction scores as misidentification or inadequate identification that results in delayed care and negative consequences is removed. Furthermore, the bracelet saves time and increases efficiency as the nurse is able to leverage on time to render a better quality care.
The inventor described the invention design. "My design will enhance patient safety and improve the bottom line for the company while increasing patient satisfaction scores at the same time. Patient's information, risk factors and concerns will be visually displayed."
The original design was submitted to the Houston office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
