Local Texan Dentist Helps Provide Free Dental Care to Over 550 People
Partnered with Smiles for Everyone Foundation, Monarch Dental® Provider Delivers Care to Underserved Paraguayan Communities
(August 10, 2018)

GRAPEVINE, Texas, August 10, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Siavash Eftekhari, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Monarch Dental® in Grapevine, TX recently traveled to Asunción, Paraguay for a week-long international outpost trip to deliver dental care in impoverished communities. Along with a team of fellow Smile Brands Inc. affiliated colleagues and support staff, Dr. Eftekhari volunteered his time to help deliver care to over 550 individuals in need.

This outreach was hosted by Smiles for Everyone Foundation, a nonprofit with the mission to deliver smiles for everyone by providing free dental care to those in need, both at home in the US and around the world. In partnership with Diaconia, a local NGO with the mission to empower those living in poverty to live with dignity and freedom, the Smiles for Everyone Foundation has supported year-round dental outreaches in Paraguay since 2011.

Outreaches were held at orphanages, community centers and schools in the communities surrounding Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. Local Paraguayan dentists partnered with the team throughout the week, working side by side to deliver care late into each night. During the six days of outreaches, the local dentists were also trained on complex dental procedures and working with the portable dental equipment so they can continue to deliver smiles in their communities throughout the year.

Dr. Eftekhari will also be participating in the Foundation's upcoming Day of Giving in Lewisville, TX next month to provide free dental care to the local underserved community.
