WASHINGTON, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- According to the Corporate Whistleblower Center, "We are urging a nursing home employee or a medical doctor with proof a healthcare company of any kind is paying kickbacks to a nursing home for extra special medical treatments for their Medicare or Medicaid patients to call us anytime at 866-714-6466. Recently a whistleblower received nearly a million dollars for this exact type of information. We specialize in nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities and acute care medical facilities. Typically, we can help a whistleblower with this type of information build out their allegations so the potential whistleblower reward increases-dramatically." http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com
On August 23rd, 2018 the US Department of Justice announced a national provider of rehabilitation therapy and related services agreed to pay the United States $6.1 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by paying kickbacks to skilled nursing facilities and physicians in connection with care provided to Medicare beneficiaries as a way of improperly promoting the company's rehabilitation therapy business.
The United States alleged that between April 1, 2013, and May 1, 2017, the healthcare company knowingly offered improper inducements, in the form of-employed nurse practitioners who worked at client nursing homes without charge or for a nominal, below fair market fee to induce or reward nursing homes for contracting with the healthcare company to provide rehabilitation therapy for their residents. The whistleblower will receive approximately $915,000 of the settlement proceeds.
The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "If you are a healthcare professional and you possess proof a nursing home, a skilled nursing treatment center or an acute care facility is accepting bribes, or they are constantly short staffed please call us at 866-714-6466. We can probably help you make a ton of money. Why sit on a potentially winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might have been worth?" http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a major whistleblower. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It's a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower's information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company or individual to come clean on Stark Anti-Kickback laws or overbilling Medicare. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it's sufficient, we will help find the right law firms to assist in advancing your information." http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com
