ALBANY, N.Y., April 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ — DataGen, a leading healthcare data analytics and policy firm, today announced that it’s been contracted to deliver industry-leading policy and analytics services to Laulima Data Alliance, a nonprofit, wholly-owned subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii. DataGen’s products provide insight coupled with actionable data to understand and respond to the effects on providers at the state and system level resulting from national Medicare payment policy changes.
DataGen leverages its policy, analytic and industry experts to develop reports and visualizations that simplify the complexities of the healthcare delivery and payment systems for its clients, which allows leadership to make timely, data-driven decisions. As a result of the agreement, Laulima Data Alliance will be able to see the total impact of healthcare policy to its system and will be able to evaluate its financial, operational and quality performance against national benchmarks.
“With hospitals plus a number of post-acute care services, we knew we needed a way to see the broad impact of Medicare policy changes across our state,” said Haley Hsieh, Executive Director of Laulima Data Alliance. “DataGen’s analytics and expertise will be critical to our hospitals’ ongoing success strategies.”
“The healthcare industry is constantly changing and providers need help navigating the myriad new care delivery and payment models,” said Susan McDonough, senior director at DataGen. “We’re working with state hospital associations across the country to help their member hospitals mitigate risk and to ensure they capitalize on these new opportunities. We’re empowering leaders by arming them with the insights they need to make the right decisions for their organization now and into the future.”
With the signing of this contract, DataGen now serves 48 state healthcare associations and eight multi-state health system clients.
