According to the American Diabetes Association, one in three Americans has high blood pressure. Research from the University of Pittsburgh showed that subjects who alternated between sitting and standing throughout the day reported lowered blood pressure. And when participants changed their posture every half hour, they experienced significantly lower diastolic blood pressure.
