MEDITECH Expanse Scores High in KLAS EMR Buyers Report

Industry research firm finds more customers seeking integration and value of Expanse

WESTWOOD, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Healthcare organizations are increasingly considering MEDITECH Expanse when selecting a new EMR system, according to a new report released by KLAS. The global healthcare research firm’s study cites Expanse’s integrated acute care and ambulatory record, innovation, and value as key drivers in a growing number of potential customers considering Expanse.

In the report, Acute Care EMR: Buyers Unwilling to Settle, KLAS awarded Expanse an A-List Honorable Mention for its increased market energy, overall customer satisfaction, and high customer retention. KLAS found the most common reason healthcare organizations seek a new EMR system is the need for integrated acute care and ambulatory records.

KLAS reports the number of potential customers considering Expanse is up 11% from last year. This growth includes customers outside of its legacy base, with 50% of considerations coming from non-MEDITECH hospitals. The study found buyers are optimistic about MEDITECH’s direction, and existing Expanse customers would overwhelmingly buy the system again. Existing customers also reported usability, improved workflows, and mobility options contribute to overall satisfaction with the system.

KLAS gathers data and insights on software, services, and medical equipment to deliver timely, actionable reports. This study is based on the EMR buying decisions by 104 healthcare organizations over the past year.
