Cloud-Based Healthcare Software Leaders Announce New Partnership

LAFAYETTE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Cloud-based software leaders HST Pathways and Casetabs announced today a joint-effort collaboration to improve care coordination at surgery centers nationwide. Recognizing the large customer base of ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and surgical sites that use both products, the organizations will be working together to develop products with efficient workflows and added functionality.

“We are proud to be an HST Pathways partner and excited about the value we can deliver to ASCs together,” said Casetabs CEO Gavin Fabian. “In collaboration with our shared customers, we designed a bi-directional integration that facilitates seamless practice scheduling and expands schedule accessibility to surgeons, anesthesiologists, vendor reps, and patients.”

The best health IT tools have to be practical and easy to use for the people on the ground in ASCs. Keeping that in mind ensures that both products not only deliver great results, but also do it in a way that is efficient and easy for the ASC – improving operations on the ground and boosting user satisfaction. Casetabs offers products such as collaborative scheduling, surgery board tracking and analytics, and patient engagement tools such as text alerts. HST Pathways’ cloud-based surgery software suite includes ASC practice management (HSTpathways), an ASC-specific electronic health record (HSTeChart), and anesthesia practice revenue cycle management tools (HSTanesthesia).

“We don’t want to be reactionary,” said CEO and Founder of HST Pathways, Tom Hui. “As a recognized technology and thought leader in the ASC industry, it is our responsibility to be proactive. When vendor partners work collaboratively, we can (1) simplify the technology, (2) lower the cost to achieve interoperability and (3) improve the reliability of the integration.”

Teams from both companies will be working together to exchange ideas, further enhance their respective platforms to align with each other, and work towards enhancing a seamless client experience.
