Food Industry Expert Joins Benson Hill as General Counsel

ST. LOUIS, Feb. 4, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Benson Hill, a crop improvement company unlocking the natural genetic diversity of plants, has named Rebecca Bortolotti as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Bortolotti is an experienced law department leader in the food industry specializing in end-to-end commercialization of innovation. She will support business strategies for Benson Hill’s growing engagement with food and ingredient companies, grocery retailers and others across the agri-food value chain.

Prior to joining Benson Hill, Rebecca was a partner at Advent, LLP, a law firm focused on innovation and technology development across a broad range of industry areas, including ag-tech, food and ingredients. Before that, she spent nearly 10 years at ConAgra Brands, more recently as Chief Technology Counsel supporting key initiatives related to business transformation, including M&A transactions, intellectual property licensing, and partnership development.
