Solution helps to simplify payment processing by connecting patients, providers and financial institutions

BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Healthcare technology leader Modernizing Medicine® today announced general availability of the integrated payment processing platform of its subsidiary Modernizing Medicine Retail Solutions, known as modmed® Pay, as part of its patient engagement solutions.

modmed Pay integrates with the Practice Management (PM) system for EMA® electronic health records (EHR) system users and the gastroenterology practice management solution, gPM™, for gGastro® EHR users. modmed Pay can help to lower costs and improve efficiency for medical practices by reducing data entry, payment posting, inbound calls and time-consuming reconciliation tasks. In addition to payment processing via terminals, modmed Pay also enables multiple patient self-service payment methods such as payment via the patient portals, kiosks, text to pay and a quick pay page* giving patients the ability to pay at their convenience without having to be in the office.
