International Society for Extracellular Vesicles to Host Annual Meeting Virtually
MOUNT ROYAL, N.J., June 24, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — The International Society for Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV) announces the ISEV2020 Virtual Meeting for July 20-22. This virtual platform will bring together over 1,200 extracellular vesicle researchers from around the world, feature scientific sessions, poster and paper sessions, and opportunities for networking. Originally planned to take place in Philadelphia, PA, the in-person meeting was changed to be held virtually upon the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“While this meeting is not our usual format, it is right in-line with the exemplary content we regularly offer our members,” said ISEV Executive Director, Joe Sapp, MBA, CAE. “The virtual platform allows us to provide education and networking opportunities to all of our members, regardless of their location. We’ve also included a world clock calculator on our program page to assist attendees in planning the sessions they will attend while easily seeing the time it will be offered in their time zone. We may not be ‘in-person,’ but we’ve taken every step possible to personalize this meeting.”
The ISEV2020 Virtual Meeting will be held entirely online using the software Cadmium CD. Attendees can expect a similar amount of content as they would experience at a face-to-face meeting. Each day, the ISEV Virtual Meeting program offers over five hours of live stream presentations including plenaries, featured abstracts, sponsor presentations and Education Day sessions. There will also be on-demand oral symposium and poster sessions available throughout the meeting. Attendees will have unlimited access to all content for 60 days.
This year’s Plenary Speakers include:
Alain Brisson – Professeur Emérite, Universite De Bordeaux
Hollis Cline – Hahn Professor of Neuroscience and Co-chair of the Department of Neuroscience at Scripps Research
Phyllis Hanson – Chair of the Department of Biological Chemistry, University of Michigan
