EHNAC Releases New 2021 Accreditation Criteria Versions for Public Review through Dec. 3

Significant updates include new program criteria designed to help payers and providers meet CMS Interoperability and Patient Access final rule requirements

FARMINGTON, CT / ACCESSWIRE / October 6, 2020 / The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), a non-profit standards development organization and accrediting body for organizations that electronically exchange healthcare data, announced today that it has posted new versions of program criteria for its 21 accreditation programs for public review. The open process for adopting criteria will commence on Oct. 6, 2020 and end on Dec. 3, 2020.

2021 criteria updates to all programs include requirements from HITRUST CSF® V9.4 and the introduction of three new programs: Trusted Dynamic Registration & Authentication Accreditation Programs (TDRAAP) (two programs, soon to be announced) and EHNAC P&S Comprehensive. The EHNAC P&S Comprehensive program includes extensive privacy and security requirements – available for all EHNAC accreditation programs – along with in-depth validation. This program is ideal for many healthcare stakeholders and addresses EHNAC Privacy and Security, customer service, business practices, personnel requirements, third-party cloud service providers, and more.

Scheduled to be released to the public in early 2021, the Trusted Dynamic Registration & Authentication Accreditation Programs (TDRAAP Basic and TDRAAP Comprehensive) are designed to help healthcare organizations demonstrate their ability to use trusted digital certificates for endpoint identity, registration, authentication and attribute discovery for electronic healthcare transactions in real-time.
