Rhinogram President Leads Several Key Discussions During Virtual Healthcare Industry Events

Discussions focused on innovations enabling the historic shift to virtual care; impact of reaching underserved communities; best practice and more

CHATTANOOGA, TN / ACCESSWIRE / October 13, 2020 / Rhinogram, a leading cloud-based, HIPAA-compliant virtual care platform, today announced that President and Chief Product Officer Kathy Ford recently led several thought leadership discussions during three of the healthcare industry’s top virtual events: Modern Healthcare‘s Virtual Summit, the Telehealth Online Virtual Summit and Iowa MGMA’s Fall Virtual Event.

“The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. dramatically changed the landscape of healthcare, including how our industry thought leaders come together to share ideas and best practices,” said Ford. “It was a fantastic opportunity to virtually join industry leaders from across the country for high-level discussions during this unprecedented time. Over the last seven months, as healthcare providers and organizations across the country have scrambled to shift their care delivery methods to provide safe, efficient care at a massive scale, virtual care quickly transformed from an option, to a necessity. Our industry must continue to band together to provide high-quality care for all patients.”

The Modern Healthcare Virtual Health Summit – held September 21 – brought together healthcare executives, physician leaders, and healthcare innovators to focus on addressing how the health system needs to scale operations to address the rapid adoption of virtual health by patient and health systems. During the event, Ford joined a panel of industry experts for an educational session titled “Virtual Health’s Big Moment: How Health Systems are Rapidly Scaling to Meet Demand.” Ford and her co-panelists covered topics including best practices for efficiently expanding access to virtual care and ensuring a positive patient experience; strategies to enable clinicians and staff to work effectively in the virtual environment; and tips for how organizations can avoid common pitfalls in virtual care expansion.

Earlier in the month, Ford led the discussion “Telehealth connectivity: Bringing telehealth to the developing world and the wider population” during the Telehealth Online Virtual Summit. Ford served as moderator for a panel that included executives from provider organizations, women’s health initiatives, health plans and others, where the discussion focused on topics including bridging the digital divide to underserved communities with no access to broadband; introducing virtual care platforms to areas of need; how healthcare providers can increase access to convenient, efficient, high-quality care to their patients; and the must haves when shopping for a virtual care platform. The Telehealth Online Virtual Summit – held September 8-10 – joined physician practices and groups, hospitals and health systems, investors and analysts, payers, insurance companies and other healthcare executives with emerging and established telehealth companies.

Most recently, Ford participated in a panel discussion, titled “The Virtual Patient Experience,” during Iowa MGMA’s Fall Virtual event on October 7. Ford and her co-panelists discussed the importance of adopting telemedicine and engaging patients, focusing on objectives such as defining the virtual patient experience, identifying key reasons for need and recognizing external market threats of competition.
