Dr. Qureshi will act as President of the Foundation for a year-long term
CRANFORD, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dr. M. Nasar Qureshi, President and Chief Medical Officer of QDx Pathology Services, a national, independent and full-service anatomical and molecular pathology laboratory, has been named President of the American Pakistan Foundation (APF). APF is an organization dedicated to empowering the Pakistani American community and building bridges between the U.S. and Pakistan.
Qureshi joined the Board of the American Pakistan Foundation in 2018. After serving on the executive committee, he was selected as Chairman of the Board in October of 2020. Dr. Qureshi was chosen for the role due to his lifelong service to the community, dedication to his work and entrepreneurial spirit. APF serves its mission with leaders like Dr. Qureshi, who recognize the potential of young Pakistani-American women and men to thrive in all aspects of American life.

Dr. Qureshi, M.D., Ph.D., is a recognized leader in the medical field for diagnostic excellence. He completed professional training at Tulane University School of Medicine, Mount Sinai Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital. Dr. Qureshi specializes in clinical and anatomical pathology and has contributed to more than 50 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He has also served as the lead investigator for several institutional and NIH-funded grants.
While in medical training, Dr. Qureshi continued his passion for community involvement and social work by joining the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) and serving as the President of the New Jersey Chapter of APPNA and the Dow Medical Alumni Association. After serving in various roles for APPNA, he was selected as President of the organization for 2016.
In his professional life, Dr. Qureshi established a free-standing reference laboratory, QDx Pathology Services, in 2006 in New Jersey, as a center of excellence in surgical pathology. QDx Pathology has grown to command referrals from physicians nationwide, especially in the fields of gastrointestinal, urologic and gynecologic pathology. Dr. Qureshi serves as the President and Chief Medical Officer of QDx Pathology.
