Dr. Atul Goel Joins eQHealth Solutions’ Commercial Division as Medical Director

BATON ROUGE, La.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–eQHealth Solutions, a leading Population Health technology and services company and the developer of the first and only CMS-Certified Care Management technology, has announced that Atul Goel, M.D., has joined their Commercial Division as a full-time Medical Director.

Dr. Goel is Board Certified in Family Medicine and brings a wealth of professional experience to the eQHealth team. Over the course of his 30+ year career, Dr. Goel has worked as a clinical physician for Kaiser Permanente and in his solo Family Practice. He has been a Medical Consultant for Social Security Disability, Veteran’s Disability, the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles, and NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and also served as Medical Director for a Medicare Administrative Contractor and as the Program Manager for a Contractor to the Department of Defense.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dr. Goel served as a Flight Surgeon to a squadron of fighter pilots with whom he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan during the Gulf War.

Dr. Goel earned his Bachelor’s in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. He went to medical school at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, and completed his Residency in Family Medicine in Niagara Falls, NY. Later in life, he earned his Master of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
