Hospice of Westchester Announces New Officers and Members of the Board of Directors

WHITE PLAINS, NY / ACCESSWIRE / May 2, 2022 / Hospice of Westchester (HOW) has voted in new officers and members for its 2022-2023 board of directors.

William F. Flooks, Jr. has been named chairman, a position he previously held. He is joined by George Whitehead, vice chair, Joanne Ciaramella, Esq., secretary, and Mary Frances Barrett, treasurer.

In addition, three new members have been named to the board:

Stewart Ault has more than 25 years of experience helping hospitals and healthcare organizations build value by driving growth, improving profitability and developing new programs. He has worked with a number of prestigious healthcare organizations in the metropolitan New York area, including major academic medical centers, community hospitals and a large not-for-profit service agency.

Tatyana A. Hladki is an end-of-life consultant and educator. In addition to her private work with families, she serves as the Advance Funeral Planner and Director of Aftercare at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home. In her role, she is intricately tied to the Westchester community, hosting educational workshops on navigating end-of-life decisions and preplanning. Following the death of a loved one, she also oversees reach-out efforts to help close out estate-related matters, set up fraud protection, and provide grief and bereavement resources.

Gavin W. Hougham, PhD is a sociologist, educator and research executive at New York Medical College. Recently, he served as Senior Research Scientist at the Center for Home Care Policy and Research at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. In this role, he led a team studying the experiences and impacts on home health aides of working during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, he was director of Battelle’s Seattle office, where he managed 25 social scientists and where he also led the launch of Battelle’s national Aging and Gerontology Practice. He was formerly tenure line faculty at the University of Chicago in the Department of Medicine, where he taught social science and clinical research methods.
