Imperative Care Announces 10,000 Patients Treated With Its Innovative Stroke Technologies

Company Reaches Milestone During Stroke Awareness Month, Serving as a Reminder to Learn the Signs of Stroke

CAMPBELL, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Imperative Care, Inc. today announced that 10,000 patients have been treated in the U.S. with its technologies for stroke since 2020. The company’s current portfolio includes the Zoom Stroke Solution™ and TracStar® LDP technologies for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, which received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2019. With a physician-driven approach to innovation, the company is working to advance every aspect of the stroke procedure – from access through treatment – to empower clinicians and their staff with the right tools to continuously improve patient outcomes.

This is a very proud moment for us at Imperative Care, knowing that our technologies have made a very real impact on the lives of so many patients and their families,” said Daniel Davis, COO of Imperative Care. “We are grateful for the physicians who have put their trust in us to deliver life-changing care to their patients.”

Every day, the technologies that we develop at Imperative Care directly impact human lives,” said Fred Khosravi, CEO of Imperative Care. “Our focus is on the needs of the patient, and they come first in everything we do. This number is representative of that mission and the collective work of our team and physicians who are guided by the same North Star of patient care.”

Stroke remains a largely unaddressed problem that affects over 800,000 Americans each year and 15 million people worldwide.1 The number of deaths due to stroke continues to rise,2 and a study published in The New England Journal of Medicine estimates that the global risk of stroke from the age of 25 years onward is approximately 25% among both men and women.3 Treatment options have significantly improved over the last decade, but the need for improved effectiveness and efficiency remains.

The stroke treatment journey begins with recognition of a stroke, which is why it’s so critical to know the warning signs,” said Omar Tanweer, M.D., director of Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery and assistant professor at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. “In addition to increased public awareness, the advent of novel and promising technologies plays a key role in improving patient outcomes. The Zoom Stroke Solution has made a real difference in my practice, giving patients the best chance for optimal recovery.”

May is Stroke Awareness Month, serving as an important reminder to learn the symptoms of stroke to help ensure timely treatment – a critical factor in stroke treatment. Visit the American Stroke Association’s website for more information and learn how to act F.A.S.T. when it comes to stroke.
