Beck joins company as president, brings more than 20 years of experience

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ESO, the leading data and software company serving emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments, hospitals, state and federal agencies today announced the addition of Eric Beck to the executive team in the role of president. Beck will play a critical role in accelerating ESO’s mission to improve community health and safety through the power of data.

“Having Eric on our team is a true game changer for us and the industries we serve,” said Chris Dillie, CEO of ESO. “His passion for and commitment to our company and mission have been demonstrated over his eight years as an ESO board member. This coupled with his public safety, healthcare and business experience make him an incredibly unique fit for ESO. He will be instrumental in helping us more quickly deliver on our vision to provide quality data and meaningful insights across EMS, the fire service and hospitals at the local, regional and national levels.”

Beck began his career as a firefighter and paramedic in Ohio prior to attending medical school at Ohio University. He previously served as the EMS System Medical Director for the city of Chicago. Most recently Beck, was the president and COO of the University Hospitals Health System in Ohio (UH), where he was instrumental in leading the regional COVID-19 response, refreshing system strategy and maturing the integrated operating model across the 23-hospital health system. Before UH, he was the president of the clinical enterprise at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center (UNTHSC), as well as president and CEO of Evolution Health.

“This is a very exciting time to join ESO in this capacity,” said Beck. “The company is at an important inflection point with significant momentum behind it to drive outcome improvement at scale – across public safety and healthcare – for communities, responders, clinicians, patients and researchers throughout North America and, eventually, the globe. I’ve been privileged to be a part of some tremendous organizations that have helped shape who I am today – this is an opportunity for me to give back to the industries I love.”
