XLerateHealth Selects 8 Healthcare Startups for 2022 Flint, Michigan, Accelerator Cohort

FLINT, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–XLerateHealth (XLH), a nationally recognized healthcare accelerator headquartered in Louisville, KY, today announced the selection of eight startup companies to participate in its 2022 Flint cohort. XLH Flint has received support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the Community Foundation of Flint and the City of Flint.

XLerateHealth’s 2022 Flint Cohort

Coordinista (Kalamazoo, MI) Designed by clinicians for clinicians, Coordinista is a digital health startup that gives providers the tools they need for effective care delivery at any point of care from transitional to chronic care management, resulting in increased engagement, productivity, and improved health outcomes.

Culturewell (Ann Arbor, MI) reduces healthcare-associated infections through subscription-based sampling, testing, and germ risk assessments. Culturewell provides pathogen risk profiles and a map of “hotspots,” allowing healthcare leaders to make decisions about where to deploy limited resources for maximum benefit.

Flint Community Revitalization Group (Flint, MI) is a minority centered consulting and business development company focused on creating new businesses, enhancing existing business, and developing minority jobs and educational opportunities. The organization is building “LifeHUB Studios”, a community initiative that provides positive lifestyle options for self and community.

Great Lakes Biologics (Plymouth, MI) is a startup Contract Research Development Organization (CRDO) specializing in the process development of small-scale batches of biologic product candidates used in biopharmaceutical research and development.

Hodos Health (Detroit, MI) is a digital health company that helps medical practices and community health centers optimize operations, improve clinical staff utilization and patient outcomes, while reducing costs and increasing revenues. Hodos automates chronic disease management through their EHR Plug-In with AI, Blockchain, and Machine Learning, forming a new, dynamic project management system for healthcare.

InterJad (Southfield, MI) is developing an interactive, clinical research training platform for healthcare professionals that utilizes a unique combination of web and mobile-based gamified simulation. By streamlining clinical research education with medical training, InterJad aims to integrate Evidence-Based Medicine to improve patient outcomes.

Prevada Medical, Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI) is a medtech company spun out of the University of Michigan’s Weil Institute of Critical Care Research and Innovation that aims to reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections in ICUs. Prevada is developing a disposable mouthpiece for mechanically ventilated patients to significantly reduce the likelihood of deadly lung infections.

Urban Docz (Detroit, MI) is a simple, secure, and affordable telehealth platform that provides virtual healthcare access to women in underserved and low-income communities, starting with women’s reproductive health services.
