Nationally recognized medical assistant organization announces Monica Case, CMA (AAMA), as the new president
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL / ACCESSWIRE / November 8, 2023 / The American Association of Medical Assistants® (AAMA) installed Monica Case, CMA (AAMA), as the 2023-2024 AAMA President in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, at the 67th AAMA Annual Conference. In this capacity, President Case, a resident of Harrison, Tennessee, represents medical assistants and CMAs (AAMA)® across the nation.
Medical assisting is one of the nation’s careers growing much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. “It is an honor to serve as the AAMA President and represent this association, profession and medical assistants nationwide during a time of great change and innovation in the healthcare environment,” says Case. “The CMA (AAMA) sets the bar for medical assisting excellence and plays an integral role in the health care delivery team due to the unique blend of competence, knowledge and versatility. My goal is to spread awareness of the medical assisting profession and the vital part in quality health care and patient safety we provide now and in the future.”
Case brings a great deal of experience to her office. She graduated from the Chattanooga State Community College medical assisting program in 1987 and currently serves on the advisory board. She has worked as a CMA (AAMA) for more than 35 years. For the past 32 years, she has worked for Chattanooga Family Practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she is currently the quality care coordinator and clinical lead.
