Whittier Street Health Center to Host Dec. 12 ‘Women for Whittier Holiday Tea & Talk’

BOSTON, MA / ACCESSWIRE / November 13, 2023 / Whittier Street Health Center, a community health center with a mission to serve as a center of excellence that provides high-quality and accessible health care and social services that achieve health equity, social justice, and the economic well-being of a diverse patient population, will host its annual Women for Whittier Holiday Tea and Talk on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in the Community Education Room on the second floor of the Frederica M. Williams Building at 1290 Tremont Street, Roxbury.

Women Business Leaders Supporting Health Equity and Social Justice

The event, with the theme of “Women’s Rights in 2023: Challenges, Opportunities and Perspectives,” is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will feature the presentation of the 2023 Women for Whittier Awards.

The 2023 Women for Whittier Awards will be presented to:

  • Latoyia Edwards, Emmy Award-winning anchor for NBC10 Boston and NECN
  • Kerin O’Toole, former senior vice president of public affairs for the Mass League of Community Health Centers
  • Su Joun, principal at Diversity@Workplace Consulting Group
  • Yuisa Pérez, chief people officer at the Museum of Science
  • Helen Credle, associate director, community engagement for the Elma Lewis Center
  • Cotton Cleveland, principal at Mather Associates

In addition, a panel discussion to dive deeper into the theme will follow the awards. Panelists include Geri Haight, Esq., member at Mintz Levin; Jackie Glenn, founder and CEO of GLENN DIVERSITY Inclusion and HR Solutions; Lisa Murray, head of Nonprofit and Professional Services Banking for Citizens, providing strategic and financial advice, and president of Citizens Massachusetts and team leader for New England Not for Profit and Professionals Banking; and Sandra King, founder and CEO of STKing Associates, LLC.
