CAN Community Health and Moffitt Cancer Center Unite in Red for World AIDS Day

TAMPA, FL / ACCESSWIRE / November 29, 2023 / CAN Community Health, in collaboration with Moffitt Cancer Center, proudly announces “Unite in Red,” a special event in observance of World AIDS Day. Scheduled for November 30th at the CAN Ybor location (2105 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., this gathering aims to foster awareness, community support, and solidarity in the ongoing battle against HIV.

Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Edward Braun and Program Specialist Rose Hornedo from CAN Community Health, along with special guest Dr. Jessica Islam from Moffitt Cancer Center, will form an insightful panel. They will share valuable perspectives on the relentless fight against HIV and emphasize the crucial role of community support in this endeavor.

The event will be graced by the presence of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor, exemplifying the city’s commitment to championing this cause. The evening’s ambiance will be enhanced by a soul-stirring performance from the talented USF Gospel Choir.

“Unite in Red” invites attendees to join hands in raising awareness, expressing solidarity for those living with HIV, commemorating lives lost to HIV-related illnesses, and collectively striving to end the HIV epidemic.
