Rocket Doctor and Engagewell IPA Win New York Health Foundation Grant to Expand ‘Healthcare in Housing’ for Residents in Inner-City NY

Partnership Lets Patients in Supportive Housing Access Comprehensive Virtual Primary Care and Mental Health Services, Powered by Device Kiosks and the Rocket Doctor Virtual Care Platform

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / November 29, 2023 / Rocket Doctor and EngageWell IPA are excited to announce that they have won a New York Health Foundation grant to place virtual medical care and behavioral health services in supportive and emergency housing sites across New York City. This grant is part of New York Health Foundation’s newest priority area, which aims to expand primary care access and capacity, advance racial health equity, and strengthen the primary care workforce.

With this funding, Rocket Doctor and EngageWell IPA will kick off a set of comprehensive meetings with local stakeholders, housing residents, community members, and health centers to build a system of care that integrates historically siloed health and housing sectors. This partnership will provide virtual primary and urgent care services and mental health assessments supported by community healthcare workers on the ground.
