Health-ISAC Announces Board Change

Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Health-ISAC) Thanks Departing Board Member and Welcomes New Board Member From Germany

ORMOND BEACH, FL / ACCESSWIRE / December 7, 2023 / Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Health-ISAC), a global, Member-driven non-profit that is the healthcare sector’s trusted community for sharing cyber and physical security information, announces a recent change to its Board of Directors.

Mike Towers will be stepping down from the Health-ISAC Board after making a career change. He will remain on the Board, serving in a non-voting advisory capacity.

“I want to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to Mike for his seven years of service on the Board and for his commitment and many contributions to the Health-ISAC community,” says Denise Anderson, President and CEO, Health-ISAC. “We are grateful that he will remain in an advisory capacity to continue to serve and support the organization.”

Dr. Hans-Martin von Stockhausen, Principal Key Expert Cybersecurity with Siemens Healthineers, has been appointed to complete Mr. Towers’s Board term, which concludes in 2025.

“I am pleased to have Dr. Hans-Martin von Stockhausen join us as a Board Director,” Ms. Anderson continues, “Hans-Martin has been a very active member of Health-ISAC, including recently serving as Conference Program Chair for our 2023 European Summit and currently serving as Co-Chair of our Medical Device Security Council. He has extensive experience in Medical Device cybersecurity and a European perspective, and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”

The Board of Directors reflects a diverse mix of healthcare stakeholders in various subsectors of the industry. Directors generally serve a 3-year term. Health-ISAC’s Board members serve in a voluntary capacity to provide strategic governance and direction for Health-ISAC’s community based upon their experience and expertise as security leaders in healthcare organizations within the Health sector.
