A move to integrate transformative technologies like machine learning and Generative AI into ESO’s product suite

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ESO, a leading data and software company serving emergency medical services (EMS), fire departments, hospitals, state, and federal systems, is pleased to promote Brandon Martinez as its Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) where he will be focused on continuing to accelerate strategic investment in data and technology innovation at ESO.

Martinez’s new role signifies a deliberate focus on innovation within ESO. He brings extensive experience and a profound understanding of ESO’s customers, having played a pivotal role in expanding ESO’s product portfolio since 2009 in a variety of roles, including most recently as Chief Technology Officer.

“Emerging technologies such as Generative AI have the potential to revolutionize entire categories of software products, including those within the healthcare and public safety markets we serve,” said Brandon Martinez, Chief Innovation Officer at ESO. “At ESO, we recognize the importance of innovation in driving progress and meeting the evolving needs of our customers. I am excited to lead our efforts in reinvigorating the culture of innovation within ESO and delivering cutting-edge solutions that redefine how EMS, fire departments, hospitals and governmental bodies improve community health and safety.”

As CIO, Martinez will spearhead internal technology programs and collaborate with industry partners to responsibly integrate transformative technologies like machine learning and Generative AI into ESO’s product suite.

“With Brandon’s proven technology expertise and new focus, we will accelerate execution on ESO’s innovation agenda, unlocking the power of data to drive outcome improvement,” said Eric Beck, CEO of ESO. “We recognize that our customers are deeply committed to improvement and need modern tools to drive efficient realization. This is precisely the kind of challenge our innovation team is eager to tackle head-on.”

“I am particularly passionate about leveraging technology to address bias in healthcare,” Martinez noted. “Through ESO’s public research initiatives, we have already demonstrated how bias in healthcare exists through our Pain Management Disparities Research. Our goal is to continue exploring innovative approaches to detect and mitigate biases in healthcare practices, ultimately advancing the quality and equity of patient care.”

By leveraging responsible Generative AI and machine learning capabilities with ESO’s software and integrated data, ESO aims to empower its customers with actionable, real-time insights and efficient workflows that reimagine how the EMS, the fire service and hospitals improve outcomes at the local, regional, and national levels.
