Financial Assistance From The Assistance Fund Now Available for Eligible People Living With Atopic Dermatitis

ORLANDO, FL / ACCESSWIRE / April 1, 2024 / The Assistance Fund, an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs, today announced the launch of a new copay assistance program for people living with atopic dermatitis. The program is designed to help eligible individuals pay for their out-of-pocket medical costs for treatment, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

Atopic dermatitis, commonly known as eczema, is a skin condition leading to inflamed, itchy skin for children and adults.[1] Most people living with eczema experience dry skin or a rash that requires moisturizers and other treatment. The condition is not contagious and is often diagnosed in early childhood; however, adult-onset disease can occur as well.

“Atopic dermatitis is an incredibly burdensome condition that negatively impacts the health and quality of life of those affected by it,” said Julie Block, President and CEO of the National Eczema Association. “I’m grateful for The Assistance Fund’s new Atopic Dermatitis Financial Assistance Program, which will help people living with this chronic condition manage it with less worry about the cost of care and treatment.”

“People living with atopic dermatitis often face both physical discomfort and emotional distress,” said Danielle Vizcaino, President and CEO of The Assistance Fund. “Thanks to our donors, The Assistance Fund’s new Atopic Dermatitis Copay Assistance Program will provide children and adults living with eczema much-needed relief without the hurdle of cost.”
