Suki Extends the Capabilities of its Developer Platform With SDK and APIs to Power Voice AI Experiences

Bond Vet becomes the first customer to integrate Suki’s voice AI capabilities into its EHR using SDK for a more seamless clinician experience

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Suki, the leader in voice artificial intelligence (AI) technology for healthcare, today announced the launch of extended capabilities of Suki Platform, its suite of developer tools. Suki Platform enables healthcare technology solutions like electronic health record systems (EHRs) to incorporate Suki’s AI and voice experiences within their solutions. Suki Platform now features a software development kit (SDK), which allows developers to embed Suki Assistant directly into their application, as well as a suite of APIs that enable developers to incorporate select skills, like ambient documentation, into their solution. Bond Vet, a leading provider of veterinary urgent and primary care services in North America, is the first customer to use Suki’s SDK to integrate voice AI capabilities into its Vetspire EHR platform seamlessly.

As a healthcare AI platform, Suki’s innovative technology will support Bond Vet clinicians with ambient note generation, dictation, and more to increase efficiency. Suki listens to patient-clinician conversations, automatically generates note suggestions, and uses Siri-like commands to complete time-consuming tasks quickly. Its SDK enables customers to incorporate Suki’s skills into current solutions to improve the clinician experience so that clinicians can get the benefit of voice AI in their existing workflows.

“Suki’s ambient technology is a valuable addition for our team, and their responsiveness and easy integration process has proven to be a positive experience all around,” said Kelly Rusinak, VP of Operations at Bond Vet. “It’s exciting to see the productive results our team is experiencing, such as higher levels of satisfaction with the EHR and improving clinicians’ overall experience. By automating processes that used to be time-consuming, Suki allows them to focus more on what truly matters – providing exceptional care to patients.”

Suki’s patented cutting-edge technology leverages the latest capabilities of AI and voice and is tuned for healthcare to deliver the best-in-class accuracy. Its user experience is unparalleled, offering the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of workflows, and its expertise in integration eliminates the need to copy and paste notes. Clinicians report higher levels of satisfaction with their EHR, their documentation workload, and their jobs. Suki Assistant recently received a 93.2 overall performance score by KLAS with many citing overall product quality and supporting integration goals as standout benefits.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Bond Vet, to help empower clinicians with time-saving solutions through ambient listening technology,” said Heather Miller, VP of Partnerships for Suki. “Customers can use the Suki SDK to embed skills like ambient documentation into their EHR or application, creating a seamless workflow that harnesses the power of generative AI and voice. These technologies are only beginning to tap into their transformative capabilities for healthcare, and we are excited to be the engine to integrate ambient AI into EHRs and other healthcare technology solutions.”

“Suki is like an assistant in the room that can capture everything that’s being said both by the doctor and the [pet owner],” said Dr. Melissa Toulouse, Medical Director for Bond Vet Astoria. “It frees up mental space–prior to Suki, I had to split my attention in a lot of places in the room. Whereas with Suki, I don’t have to worry as much about what is being written so I can pay more complete attention to client interactions.”

This collaboration comes on the heels of several announcements from Suki, including teaming up with Amwell and MEDITECH. Suki works across 99 specialties and all clinical settings including ambulatory, telehealth, skilled nursing facilities/home health, inpatient, and veterinary medicine.
