SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., June 14, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Aptihealth, Inc. (“Aptihealth”) was recently made aware of an incident that occurred at Sisense Ltd. (“Sisense”), a third-party vendor, which may have impacted the privacy of information related to certain individuals. While Aptihealth is unaware of any actual misuse of information in relation to the incident, it is providing potentially affected individuals with information about the incident and steps individuals may take to help protect their personal information should they feel it is appropriate to do so.
Sisense provides data analytics services to Aptihealth. On April 17, 2024, Sisense sent an initial notice to its partners, including Aptihealth, indicating that it had experienced a cybersecurity incident that impacted some Aptihealth data stored on Sisense’s system(s). According to Sisense, between March 13, 2024 and April 10, 2024 certain files on a restricted access server were accessed by an unauthorized third party. Sisense has represented that they have taken steps to ensure that the information is no longer accessible on that server.
Aptihealth subsequently took steps to assess what information was accessible in data determined to be at risk and to whom it related. The types of information potentially affected by this incident includes individuals’ name, address, date of birth, dates of service, doctor’s name, medical treatment and diagnosis information, health insurance company name, and health insurance member identification number.
Aptihealth is mailing notice letters to individuals whose protected information may have been accessible to the unauthorized actor and for whom they have a valid mailing address. Interested individuals can obtain additional information regarding the event by calling Aptihealth’s dedicated assistance line at 855-568-3080, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Eastern Time), excluding major U.S. holidays.
