Founded in 2015 by Monica Kelsey, the Safe Haven Baby Boxes organization was established to provide a safe and legal alternative to abandoning newborn babies. In addition to Baby Boxes, Safe Haven’s organization runs a 24-hour crisis hotline with the sole purpose of helping parents contemplating abandonment of their infants. To date, Safe Haven Baby Boxes has referred over 500 women to crisis pregnancy centers, assisted in 9 adoption referrals, and has had over 150 legal Safe Haven surrenders.

The series follows the team as they install these temperature-controlled and electronically monitored Baby Boxes at fire stations nationwide, providing an anonymous way for parents to surrender their newborns. Get a behind-the-scenes look at life at their facilities, where Kelsey and her team get candid about what it’s going to take for them to grow their mission and give abandoned babies nationwide a chance to be found.
