NCQA Announces Two New Members to Board of Directors

New health care leaders include Dr. J. Marc Overhage and Dr. Geoffrey Neimark

WASHINGTON, D.C., WASHINGTON, D.C. / ACCESSWIRE / January 9, 2025 / The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) today announced the appointment of two respected health care leaders to its board of directors: J. Marc Overhage, MD, PhD, and Geoffrey Neimark, MD.

Dr. Overhage is a distinguished health care executive with expertise in developing and implementing strategic digital health initiatives. He was Chief Health Informatics Lead and Staff Vice President for Health Informatics and Data Architectures at Elevance Health, and Vice President of Strategic Intelligence and Chief Medical Information Officer at Cerner Corporation. He was also founding CEO of the Indiana Health Information Exchange, and co-founded TriAxia Health.

Dr. Neimark is Chief Medical Officer at Community Care Behavioral Health, where he provides oversight for multiple teams including physicians, psychologists, quality management, value based purchasing and pharmacy, and is responsible for Community Care’s medical and quality operations. Dr. Neimark was previously Chief Medical Officer of Community Behavioral Health in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was inducted as a fellow at the Philadelphia College of Physicians and serves on the clinical faculty at both the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.
