Copay Assistance From The Assistance Fund Now Available for Eligible People Living With Narcolepsy
ORLANDO, FLORIDA / ACCESSWIRE / January 9, 2025 / The Assistance Fund, an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs, today announced the launch of a new copay assistance program for people living with narcolepsy. The program is designed to help eligible individuals pay for their out-of-pocket medical costs for treatment, such as copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
Narcolepsy is a lifelong condition that causes people to feel sleepy or suddenly fall asleep. People living with narcolepsy struggle to stay awake for long periods of time, leading to significant impacts on their lives. While the cause of narcolepsy is not yet known, many people living with narcolepsy have a parent who also has the disease.1
“People living with narcolepsy face unique challenges, but accessing treatment shouldn’t be one of them,” said Danielle Vizcaino, President and CEO of The Assistance Fund. “Through TAF’s Narcolepsy Copay Assistance Program, we are committed to helping eligible individuals afford the treatment they need to manage their condition.”
“Managing the daily hurdles of narcolepsy while coping with the financial strain of treatment can be overwhelming for people living with this condition,” said Tammy Anderson, Executive Director of Wake Up Narcolepsy. “The Assistance Fund’s Narcolepsy Copay Assistance Program will be an invaluable resource, helping more patients access treatment that may improve their quality of life.”
