TORRINGTON, Conn., Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Therap Services, a national leader in HIPAA-compliant electronic documentation solutions for Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS), Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), and other human services sectors, is excited to announce a new feature designed to offer greater flexibility and control over the use of its Secure Communications module. Agencies now have the option to disable or re-enable the SComm module for their users, improving adaptability to individual organizational needs.

Super Admins of the agency can request to enable or disable the SComm module through the ‘Issue Tracking’ section of their Dashboard. When SComm is disabled, users will see messages, like “SComm is Disabled for your Provider,” on the ‘Configure Default’ and ‘Custom Notification Profile’ pages. They will also get alerts, like “Cannot allow offline requests. SComm is not enabled for this provider,” if they try to generate offline reports from the Report Library. Similarly, users won’t be able to send multi-provider SComm messages to providers where SComm is disabled. These changes give agencies more control and flexibility to manage their communication tools.

The SComm module ensures data security and confidentiality for information shared within an agency or between providers. It offers flexible communication options, allowing users to send messages to multiple recipients. Additionally, SComm allows users to link to forms within Therap’s system or attach external files, making it easier to share important information.

We are confident this new functionality will better allow providers to tailor module settings to their needs while upholding rigorous security and confidentiality standards. These improvements support our ongoing goal of supporting provider organizations, their critical work, and the individuals under their care.
