Human Affairs International of California Earns Full Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance

FRISCO, Texas, Feb. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Magellan Health, Inc., today announced that Human Affairs International of California (HAI-CA), a subsidiary of Magellan Healthcare Inc., has earned a full three-year Managed Behavioral Healthcare Organization (MBHO) Accreditation from The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Review Oversight Committee for the Commercial, Exchange, Medicaid and Medicare product lines. HAI-CA specializes in the management of behavioral health and substance use disorders.

This accreditation is awarded to HAI-CA for its full compliance with the approximately 60 standards for quality. The NCQA MBHO Accreditation standards are intended to help organizations achieve the highest level of performance possible, reduce patient risk for untoward outcomes, and create an environment of continuous improvement. The standards for quality are included in the following categories: Quality Management and Improvement, Utilization Management, Credentialing and Recredentialing, Members’ Rights and Responsibilities, and Preventive Behavioral Health Care Services.
