Addition of New Team Members will Bolster Venture Builder’s Expertise in Microbiome R&D and Data Science

Former Takeda Pharmaceuticals Associate Scientific Director Henry Haiser, PhD joins as Operating Partner, and Rotem Gura-Sadovsky, PhD has been appointed Senior Director, Head of Data Strategy.
The appointment of doctors Haiser and Gura-Sadovsky strengthens CSB’s capabilities to evaluate emerging technologies, optimize portfolio strategies, and accelerate the development of transformative health solutions. They bring extensive experience in biopharma innovation and specifically microbiome therapies. Their appointments will ensure CSB remains at the forefront of systems biology innovation, delivering measurable impact in the healthcare sector.

Henry Haiser, PhD, joins CSB with over a decade of pharmaceutical drug discovery experience, having held leadership roles at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Novartis. He played a pivotal role in establishing the microbiome discovery platform at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, focused on identifying and characterizing bioactive small molecules produced by the gut microbiome, and has advanced programs from discovery to Phase 2 clinical trials. At CSB, Dr. Haiser will collaborate with the organization’s portfolio companies, providing the scientific insights and strategic guidance essential to transition from a foundational platform to impactful solution.

At Enveda, he supported the discovery of natural products from medicinal plants and led a nascent platform utilizing multi-omics data to develop diagnostics. While at Finch Therapeutics he analyzed clinical and microbiome data to design live bacterial therapies. Dr. Gura-Sadovsky will lead CSB’s data science strategy.
