PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 27, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN) announces the addition of the Carson Leslie Foundation to its Executive Council. The foundation has supported multiple CBTN projects over the past four years, most recently donating $100,000 to fuel the CBTN medulloblastoma liquid biopsy project, which promises to deliver a less invasive way to track treatment progress for this aggressive disease.

By working together, we can make a difference in the lives of children across a wide range of brain tumor diagnoses.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Carson Leslie Foundation to our Executive Council,” said Jena Lilly, CBTN Executive Director. “Their expertise in research and advocacy will be invaluable as we work to improve the long-term prospects of children diagnosed with brain tumors.”

The Carson Leslie Foundation was founded in memory of Carson Leslie, a young man who lost his battle with medulloblastoma in 2010. The foundation is committed to funding research that will lead to better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for this devastating disease.

“The Carson Leslie Foundation’s participation in the Executive Council is rooted in our deep belief that pediatric brain tumor organizations MUST work together to progress in each of our respective areas of clinical focus,” said Ripley Martin, Board Member of the Carson Leslie Foundation. “We believe that by working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of children across a wide range of brain tumor diagnoses.”
