New data shows traditional research methods continue to underdeliver in data completeness and patient engagement
SAN FRANCISCO, March 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — A new survey reveals a major transformation in observational research, with nearly 80% of life sciences leaders open to virtual models to address challenges in data completeness and patient engagement. Growing shift to AI and virtual research models In light of ongoing challenges with traditional approaches, the survey data indicates a clear industry appetite for innovative, tech-enabled observational research:
“These results validate the feedback we consistently receive from our life sciences partners: there is an urgent need for innovative approaches to observational research that ensure high quality data and patient engagement,” said Rachael Thomas Higgins, chief commercial officer at PicnicHealth. “At PicnicHealth, we’re bridging this gap by offering a scalable, cost-effective solution that provides access to the universal patient record and enhances engagement.”
