Pheno.AI’s Human Phenotype Project (HPP) to Catalyze the Future of AI-Driven Health with Japanese Cohort

TOKYO, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Corundum Systems Biology Inc. (CSB), a leading investment company dedicated to advancing life-changing systems biology solutions for human health and well-being, today announced it is supporting Israeli AI-driven health startup Pheno.AI‘s launch in Japan. The initiative will facilitate the eventual global expansion of Pheno.AI’s Human Phenotype Project (HPP).

CSB, an early investor in Pheno.AI since the startup launched in 2022, is providing strategic support and resources to accelerate the deployment of the HPP initiative in Japan. HPP is a large-scale deep-phenotyping project leveraging AI to derive critical insights from human health data across diverse global populations. It aims to facilitate the development of groundbreaking solutions that improve global human health and well-being.

“The launch of Pheno.AI Japan marks a pivotal step in the HPP initiative’s global expansion and will generate a comprehensive dataset from thousands of Japanese participants,” said Hidehiko Otake, CEO of Corundum Systems Biology. “This dataset will contribute to a global AI-powered health innovation framework designed to advance medical research and improve healthcare outcomes worldwide.”

The Human Phenotype Project is a landmark global effort to empower scientists researching the next breakthroughs in human health. Profiling a diverse participant base of individuals, and incorporating a rich set of data layers and environmental influences, it is building a high-resolution view of the key drivers behind health and disease to impact the way we approach and treat a wide range of conditions. HPP’s proprietary datasets are already yielding insights that are helping to advance science and innovation across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and life sciences industries.

“CSB has been instrumental in supporting Pheno.AI through financial investment, strategic advisory, and resource allocation,” said Prof. Eran Segal, PhD, Co-founder of Pheno.AI. “Our partnership with CSB to establish Pheno.AI Japan as a dedicated subsidiary provides a bridge between Pheno.AI and Japanese corporate stakeholders, fostering collaborations within the local healthcare ecosystem that can drive innovation to address global health challenges.”
