Pearl Health Achieves HITRUST r2 Certification Demonstrating the Highest Level of Information Protection Assurance

NEW YORK, March 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Pearl Health, a leading provider of physician enablement and risk management technology and services, today announced that the Pearl Health Application has earned certified status by HITRUST for information security.

HITRUST r2 Certification demonstrates that the Pearl Health Application has met demanding regulatory compliance and industry-defined requirements and is appropriately managing risk. This achievement places Pearl Health in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. By including federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps organizations address security and data protection challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.

“Achieving HITRUST r2 Certification demonstrates our commitment to meeting the highest standards for data protection and information security,” said Russell Fowles, Vice President of Technical Operations & Security at Pearl Health. “Organizations like ours face constant pressure to address evolving threats and complex compliance requirements, including information protection and privacy. This certification assures our customers that we take data protection seriously.”

“Earning HITRUST r2 Certification is a significant milestone that reinforces our unwavering commitment to data security and compliance,” said Matt Solnit, Chief Technology Officer at Pearl Health. “As cyber threats grow more sophisticated, safeguarding sensitive information remains a top priority. This certification validates the rigorous security and privacy measures we’ve put in place to protect the patient data entrusted to us by our customers and partners.”

“Without consistency, transparency, and reliability, an information security assessment can’t provide the requisite level of assurances needed to make important business decisions. That’s why we focus on producing the highest quality reports available,” said Vincent Bennekers, Vice President, Quality at HITRUST. “Achievement of a HITRUST r2 Certification is an assurance that Pearl Health takes compliance and information risk management seriously.”

“The HITRUST Assurance Program is rigorous and reliable because of the comprehensiveness of control requirements, depth of review, and consistency of oversight,” said Bimal Sheth, Executive Vice President, Standards Development & Assurance Operations at HITRUST. “HITRUST r2 Certification demonstrates Pearl Health is taking the most proactive approach to cybersecurity, data protection, and risk management.”
