medaptus Launches Hospital Medicine Analytics to Deliver Fast, Actionable Insights for Hospital Medicine Leaders

BOSTON, April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — medaptus, a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions, today announced the launch of Hospital Medicine Analytics, a real-time analytics solution designed to help hospital medicine leaders monitor key operational metrics and make informed decisions—without waiting on manually aggregated data.

Informed by the medaptus Ignite Customer Advisory Board, Hospital Medicine Analytics was developed in close collaboration with hospital medicine leaders to ensure it reflects the metrics that matter most to their teams. Participants from Baptist Health Medical Group, Valley Hospitalist Medical Group, University of Rochester – Highland Hospital, Banner Medical Group, and BayCare continue to shape its evolution through ongoing feedback and real-world insights.

The initial release includes four high-impact dashboards—AM Assignments Counts, Admissions and Discharges, Assigned Providers per Hospitalization, and Average Patients per Provider—providing centralized visibility into performance trends, census activity, and provider workloads. Upcoming dashboards will add deeper insights, including Admissions per Hour, Discharge Efficiency, Discharges Before Noon, 30-Day Readmission Rates, and Length of Stay.

“With fluctuating patient volumes and ongoing staffing challenges, hospital medicine departments need instant visibility into their operations,” said Malachi Charbonneau, CEO, medaptus. “Our new Hospital Medicine Analytics platform surfaces the critical information leaders need—quickly and clearly—to support smarter planning, efficient resource use, and ultimately better patient care.”

Fully integrated with medaptus Assign, the solution draws on real-time data from the platform’s automated patient assignment and Census Manager features, giving users a powerful, consolidated view of hospitalist operations.

With Hospital Medicine Analytics, hospital leaders can:

  • Make real-time assignment adjustments based on census changes
  • Benchmark provider performance, including discharge rates and volumes
  • Analyze historical census trends to inform future staffing and resource planning

The intuitive interface allows users to easily drill down into patient volume and provider-level metrics—all in one centralized, real-time view.

“This analytics solution gives hospital medicine leaders the clarity and control they need to stay on top of operations—without getting buried in spreadsheets,” added Charbonneau. “Instead of waiting on manually aggregated data from multiple sources, our real-time dashboard delivers the right information at the right time, enabling faster, more confident decision-making.”

medaptus is unveiling the new analytics tool at The Society of Hospital Medicine’s Converge conference this week. To see it in action, stop by the medaptus booth (239) or request a demo.
