SAN ANTONIO, May 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — SafeRide Health, one of the nation’s leading non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) companies, today announced that it has successfully renewed its HITRUST r2 Certification for its SafeRideManager platform and supporting infrastructure.

This certification applies to the cloud-based SafeRideManager platform as well as the company’s security controls and procedures at its corporate headquarters and its Amazon Web Services’ cloud-hosted services data center in Hermiston, Oregon. HITRUST r2 Certification is one of the most rigorous frameworks for managing risk and ensuring compliance, and this renewal confirms that SafeRide Health continues to meet the highest standards for safeguarding sensitive healthcare information.

“As we expand our impact in healthcare access, protecting patient data remains a core responsibility,” said Robbins Schrader, CEO and Co-Founder of SafeRide Health. “Renewing our HITRUST r2 Certification demonstrates our deep commitment to security, compliance, and trust as we support vulnerable patient populations.”

“HITRUST certification is globally recognized as validation that information security and privacy controls are effective and compliant with various regulations. HITRUST certification is considered the gold standard because of the comprehensiveness and applicability of the control requirements, depth of the assurance process, and level of oversight that ensures accuracy,” said Jeremy Huval, Chief Innovation Officer at HITRUST.
