Take Command Appoints Jamie Potecha as Chief Operating Officer

Experienced executive to strengthen and scale best-in-class employee insurance experience to meet demand

DALLAS, May 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Take Command, a leading health benefits technology company and the largest provider of Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs) in the country, announced that Jamie Potecha has been appointed the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Potecha will lead efforts to strengthen the systems and teams that make it easier for employees to navigate and maximize their health benefits.

Potecha brings more than 15 years of experience leading healthcare companies, and he most recently served as Head of Operations, Product Strategy, & Compliance at Granular Insurance (incubated as a subsidiary of Alphabet’s Verily Life Sciences). He was an early leader for the health risk management company and built scalable processes that helped transform Granular into one of the largest stop-loss insurers. Potecha has a proven track record of aligning teams around high-impact strategies and leveraging data and technology to solve complex industry challenges.

“Jamie is a natural leader who will bring extensive expertise in operations, strategy, and product management to Take Command,” said Take Command CEO Jack Hooper. “He will build upon his track record of scaling systems and assembling high-performing teams to support our growth and innovation. Jamie’s arrival reinforces our commitment to providing our customers and partners with the infrastructure and resources they need to deliver an exceptional employee health insurance experience on a reliable, predictable budget.”

“Take Command stands out in the health insurance market as a first mover and leader in the ICHRA space and an outspoken advocate for employees,” said Take Command COO Jamie Potecha. “Our platform ensures every customer and employee receives personalized, high-quality support. As Take Command expands its enterprise and benefit consultant partnerships, we will continue to help companies control their healthcare costs while empowering employees to confidently choose the plan that best meets their needs.”

Accelerating innovation in employee benefits

Take Command continues to solidify its leadership in flexible health benefits for organizations ranging from small businesses to large enterprises with thousands of employees. The company recently enhanced the platform’s user experience, optimizing for admin capabilities, easy and intuitive navigation, and personalized plan recommendations. Potecha’s appointment comes amid a wave of ICHRA momentum, including a bill advancing in Congress that would codify ICHRA into law as CHOICE Arrangements, or Custom Health Option and Individual Care Expense arrangements.
