SAN DIEGO , May 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Radicle Science, a health tech company bringing trusted clinical evidence to everyday wellness and natural products, welcomes Liya Sharif Lancia as its chief marketing officer. This latest addition to the Radicle Science leadership team will further fuel the company’s growth trajectory to revolutionize evidence-based, precision wellness on a global scale.

Radicle Science adds experienced CMO to leadership team to fuel growth trajectory in delivering precision wellness.

With 20+ years of experience in transformative marketing, communications and brand strategies for technology companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, Sharif Lancia is a creative people leader, and an expert at marketing products and technology. Her previous roles include VP of Marketing at Qualcomm, where she led global teams across markets and disciplines; helped build the company’s consumer product brand, navigated the company’s crises through marketing and communications, and drove the largest corporate rebrand in the company’s history. In 2021 she co-founded the AI and data tech company Cercle, with the mission to transform healthcare for women. She is currently on their BoD.

Earlier in her career, she worked across several tech companies and served as a managing partner at a brand/digital agency. All these experiences have shaped her approach with one goal in mind: creating marketing strategies that help solve business problems. She received her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and is completing her master’s in interior architecture and design from the Academy of Arts, San Francisco. Originally from Baku, Azerbaijan, she is a former professional Russian ballerina who holds a bachelor’s in dance.

“Radicle Science is driving a paradigm shift in how wellness products are validated and democratized through clinical evidence—by harnessing the power of technology, science and real-world data,” Sharif Lancia said. “I’m thrilled to join at such a transformative moment of growth, where marketing can play a pivotal role in building brand love, opening new customer channels, and driving lasting value. It’s a true honor to be part of this extraordinary team of founders, scientists and visionaries.”

Pelin Thorogood and Dr. Jeff Chen, co-founders of Radicle Science, said: “Liya brings the rare combination of bold creativity, strategic discipline, and deep cross-industry experience that’s essential for this next chapter of Radicle’s growth. As we redefine what’s possible in evidence-based wellness, her leadership will be instrumental in shaping a brand that not only drives trust and adoption, but also inspires a global movement toward proven, personalized health.”

As Radicle Science approaches its 5-year anniversary, the company has been on an unprecedented growth trajectory, doubling the number of clinical trials conducted each year, accelerating innovation, and redefining the future of research. Since 2021, Radicle Science has studied over 70,000 Americans in blinded placebo controlled trials—rivaling the number of Americans studied across all FDA drug approval trials, combined, in the same timeframe. In addition to Sharif joining the Radicle Science team, the company also announced Dr. Rob Sinnott has joined the company as Senior Strategic Advisor.

Thorogood and Chen have continued to extend Radicle Science’s reach across multiple high profile conferences, discussing the future of precision health and the impact of AI. Radicle Science was invited to be among the 10 healthtech startups featured at the Plug and Play Silicon Valley Summit, with Chen speaking on Radicle’s platform that accelerates GTM strategies for health products. During Nutriform Business Days, an international congress on innovation in dietary supplements taking place in France, Thorogood will discuss the impact of AI on the future of nutraceuticals.
