TUCSON, Ariz., June 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — ScriptSave today announced the latest enhancements to its award-winning ScriptSave RxCheck^® solution which streamlines pharmacy workflow, while saving customers money and time waiting in line. The current release also incorporates ScriptSave’s proprietary oneBIN™ technology which eliminates the need for busy pharmacy staff to keep track and rekey separate identifiers for each discount program–an error prone and time-consuming process.

These new features come at a critical time for retail pharmacies. Over the past few years, thousands of drug stores have closed, causing a spike in traffic at remaining pharmacies, many of which are already facing a shortage of pharmacists and staff.

In recent years, the workflow behind the pharmacy counter has also become more challenging as an increasing number of customers present multiple discount programs and ask for assistance finding the least expensive program for each drug.

Using ScriptSave’s oneBIN technology, pharmacy staff can use a single BIN and PCN for all discount programs and the claim will automatically be adjudicated using the program with the best price.

In addition to improving workflow and providing a better customer experience, RxCheck also allows pharmacies to designate which programs it will include in its cost comparisons. This enables pharmacies to exclude those programs that frequently adjudicate below the pharmacy’s cost. It also incentivizes discount vendors to set prices at levels that provide consumers with the greatest possible savings, without undermining the viability of the stores.
