Introducing HealthVerity Notes: Verified clinical narratives now available for real-world research and commercial use

HealthVerity Notes adds de-identified, unstructured clinical documentation to expand context and enrich patient journey analysis across life sciences use cases

PHILADELPHIA, June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — HealthVerity, the leader in privacy-protecting technologies and the nation’s largest verified healthcare and consumer data ecosystem, today announced the launch of HealthVerity Notes, a modular, de-identified dataset built from over 2.5 billion unstructured clinical EHR notes that employs novel methodologies to preserve the full note. This approach adds vital context to real-world data strategies across life sciences research, commercial pharma and analytics use cases.

Building on a commitment to verified, research-ready data, HealthVerity Notes introduces a new dimension of patient understanding by unlocking free-text documentation from clinical encounters including insights from physician observations and symptom descriptions to disease progression and therapeutic response. Delivered with modular access and accurately linked by HealthVerity IDs (HVIDs), HealthVerity Notes is now available as an integral part of the nation’s largest data ecosystem. The underlying de-identification technology can also be leveraged by data providers to commercialize a wider range of free-text documents.

“With HealthVerity Notes, we’re turning the unstructured into the actionable,” said Andrew Kress, CEO at HealthVerity. “This launch marks an important new capability in our mission to help life sciences organizations unlock deeper insights from real-world data, while preserving patient privacy and ensuring interoperability across datasets.”

By preserving the full text of the original clinical documentation, HealthVerity Notes supports downstream use of natural language processing (NLP), offering linguistically intact and context-rich documentation that complements structured claims, EHR, and lab data. Whether identifying undiagnosed symptoms, tracing adverse events, or capturing disease trajectory, HealthVerity Notes enables more complete, narrative-driven analytics.

HealthVerity Notes is now available with use cases spanning clinical development, HEOR, pharmacovigilance, commercial analytics and patient journey analysis.
